Reiki

A Japanese form of alternative medicine called energy healing.

Rei = universal Ki = Life force, Chi, breath

Reiki = Universal life energy; which is spiritually guided and comes from the highest spiritual source.  It should be noted that Reiki is not a religion.

Reiki is a Japanese technique and its benefits include stress reduction and relaxation, which triggers the body’s natural healing abilities, and improves and maintains health. Reiki is a natural therapy that gently balances life energies and brings health and well-being to the recipient. This simple, non-invasive process works with the Higher Self of the Receiver to promote health and wellbeing of the entire physical, emotional and psychic body. Therefore, it is truly a system of attaining and promoting wholeness of Mind, Body and Spirit.

Reiki healing is a pure energy form. When it is combined with the sincere Desire of the Receiver, who is open and willing to receive this energy within their emotional and spiritual consciousness, the results are more impactful, especially over time and treatments.

Reiki Process
1) First, clients are invited to receive smudging done with sage using all earth elements. The purpose of smudging is to clear negative energy and invite peace and harmony into the space. During this process, clients are invited to also set an intention before entering into their Reiki session.
2) Clients then lay on a bed (or chair if accommodations are needed)
3) Your Reiki Practitioner will then begin the process of transferring energy to you, the receiver, using the practitioner’s palms. Clients can choose direct and gentle hands on non-invasive contact or it can also be received at a distance. Reiki does not only treat where energy is directed, it will naturally travel to where it is needed in the body. During this session, your practitioner may communicate any observations or images that may come forward and ask you to let them surface. Oftentimes, we suppress pain and trauma within our subconscious which ultimately stores within our body. Reiki helps to facilitate releasing any built up energy, emotions, and pain you may be carrying and to allow for it to be released. Sometimes, this communication can also be left to the end of the session. Each client is different; therefore, your practitioner is guided accordingly to help optimize your session.
4) After the session is complete, your practitioner will sit with you for a few minutes and allow you to communicate any feelings or thoughts that may have come up. This is a great way for you to release. Sometimes, hearing your own voice out loud gives you the answers to many of the questions you seek. Remember, you are ultimately your own healer!

** It is important to properly hydrate yourself both before and after receiving Reiki sessions**
